SATURDAY NIGHT SPEAKEASY

So this whole "not being in Provo" thing is an interesting phenomenon.  To all those in Utah, I want to let you in on a little lingo from the outside world.  A bar (rhymes with car) is a place where people our age spend weekend nights; they drink, laugh, flirt, dance, spend lots of money, and drink some more. It's really quite interesting to be part of this scene, especially when the only shots you take are of diet coke.
But I won't lie, the pre-second-bar bar that we went to was a really cool place. It was made to be secretive and had the atmosphere of a speakeasy.  The drinks (mine virgin, of course) were incredible and the atmosphere top notch. It wasn't until the bill came that I realized the beauty of virgin drinks... we were talking about this in church today: how do people afford New York rent AND drinking? it seems to me that you'd have to pick one or the other.  I suppose all the homeless people ARE always drunk... coincidence?
